Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Define currently accepted theory within the discipline. Evaluate theory using applications and exercises to personalize the depth of knowledge and understanding.

Nutrition Program Learning Outcomes
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Synthesize nutrition concepts and how they relate to the anatomy, physiology, and chemistry of the human body.
- Assess changing nutrition needs throughout the lifespan, including disease prevention, weight management, disordered eating, mental health, physical activity, and food safety.
- Evaluate current diet and nutrition trends and interventions through analysis of scientific literature.
- Design plans for teaching basic nutrition, food handling, and menu development skills to family and community members.
- Integrate nutrition concepts within their personal and family life, enabling preparation of nutritious meals for self and family members.
