Jason L. Wilde

Dr. Jason L. Wilde earned his Ph.D. in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota. He holds a master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Human Development from Brigham Young University, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree. Dr. Wilde’s specialty areas are marriage education and parent education. He joined the Utah Tech faculty in 2016 and has been instrumental in creating the FSHD minor and the Integrated Studies FSHD emphasis. He enjoys teaching, helping students apply solid family theory and research into their lives in practical ways. He and his wife have been married for more than thirty years and they have eight sons (no daughters). In his life outside the university, Dr. Wilde is active in a local religious organization, and enjoys trail running, playing chess and other strategy games, reading, canyoneering, playing piano, and just being with his family.
